Firm partner Scott Turnbull supported the Big Brothers Big Sisters of Okeechobee at its annual Clay Shoot at Quail Creek Plantation in Okeechobee.
“It was a privilege and a pleasure to participate,” said Turnbull, who practices business, securities and trust litigation. “I had a wonderful time for a wonderful cause.”
Turnbull was among 111 shooters who raised over $6,000 at the one-day event in late October 2010. They turned Quail Creek Plantation into a target practice areas as shooters showed up with their guns, camouflage and ammo to take their turns at knocking down the clay pigeons.
The funds raised help the children of Okeechobee County. Big Brothers Big Sisters of Okeechobee provides a reading mentoring program and believes that ìmentoring is as simple as putting a friend in a childs life but as essential as putting hope in a childs future.
