Attorney Weiksnar was officially sworn in as Director of FAWL on Thursday, July 18 at our office in Stuart, Florida, Hon. Eliz Metzger presiding. Several prominent local judges were also in attendance. The event was sponsored by First Citizens Bank.
The Florida Association for Women Lawyers was founded in 1951 as an organization designed to propel female attorneys into roles of economic, social, and leadership power. Backed by more than 60 years, FAWL has proven instrumental in furthering a legislative agenda that benefits women and marginalized groups throughout the state in matters of civil rights, legal representation for the poor, and women’s issues, among others. Attorney Weiksnar’s position as Director is an honorable achievement and one that attests to her legal abilities, leadership experience, and continual advocacy for justice. Our firm is excited to see her accomplish great things with FAWL, just as she has done and continues to do for our clients in need of a passionate and proven Stuart family lawyer .
