On September 8 th and 9 th , Crary Buchanan will host a blood drive to remember those who died in the September 11 th terrorist attacks more than ten years ago. The drive will be held for the third year in a row at our office on 759 S. Federal Highway in Stuart, FL. Mike Crary, who has donated nearly seven gallons of blood in his lifetime, is chairman of the event. To date, the drive has saved more than 2,400 lives. With enough donations, the drive may be able to collect enough donations to save 2,976 lives – the number of people who died in 9-11.
“More than a decade has passed since the 9-11 attacks, but we remember that tragedy as if it were yesterday,” Mr. Crary said, “We dedicate ourselves to those who died by giving the gift of life through a blood donation.” The drive will be held on September 8 th from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and on September 9 th from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Volunteers will be automatically entered in a raffle to win a flat-screen TV donated by The Experts. The drive is also sponsored by Seacoast National Bank and Tentlogix.
